This really is the time of year for giving. At tuiss we try our best in more ways than one to share. One example is what we do with things we no longer need.

When we’ve finished our photo shoots we obviously don’t need the window blinds anymore so we take the blinds to our local Oxfam Home shop. What a treat for some lucky bargain hunter, a tuiss blind!

We really had to think outside the box when it came to thinking what to do with fabric samples that we no longer needed. The Women’s Institute is the lucky recipient where nimble fingered ladies turn them into all manner of wonderful bits and pieces. What a nice ending for a scrap of fabric!

The Dahlia Autumn roman blind appeared in our autumn/winter tuiss look book and we have had so many customers phoning to ask ‘where is it’? Well rest assured it is now live on our website and available to order.

We can absolutely see why there was such a fuss about this blind. It’s the perfect mixture of neutral and chocolate tones with a gorgeous floral design to boot. All we can say is go forth and order!

We love this blind; it’s subtle enough for any decor but has just a touch of drama too. The fabric is light beige or biscuit coloured if you prefer while the drama comes from the beautifully woven pattern of dahlias and scrolling leaves.

The Dahlia Autumn design is picked out in chocolate brown through to lighter caramel. With so many tones to play with this blind really is the perfect accompaniment to so many interior styles.

Wherever you are in the UK at the moment I imagine that if you glance out of your window you will see a landscape bedecked in snow! It’s a bit of of a shame that it’s National Tree Week, planned to coincide with the tree planting season. Touch on the chilly side if you ask me!

Although it may seem that there are plenty of trees, Britain is one of the least wooded countries in Europe and the planting of new trees has fallen to its lowest level for three decades.

So, do you have room in your garden for a tree? The Telegraph may inspire you with their top 20 trees.

We were only too happy to tell Your Home magazine all about NRG energy saving blinds this month! They are the perfect antidote for the cold weather, they keep the heat in and your energy bills down.

From mohair to aran, knee blankets, throws and baby blankets, the Atlantic Blanket company is a real find.

The company was borne out of a mother’s quest to find a blanket for her daughter when she was ill. (I still have fond memories of our crocheted ‘sick’ blanket seeing me through a bout of whooping coughs!) Finding herself empty handed Atlantic Blankest was conceived.
