tuiss loves :: Nanette Lepore
Although she has cemented herself in the contemporary fashion industry- worn by the likes of Michelle Obama, Scarlett Johansson and Taylor Swift- Nanette Lepore has now turned her talents to a range of home furnishings and we just love the results!
These bedding sets are a prime example of Nanette’s love of bright, vibrant colours. The royal blue colour is simply stunning will make a great centre-piece in your room while the beautiful red bedding includes intricate details to really bring it to life.
The decorative cushions she’s designed also have a certain “wow factor”- the embroidered patterns are exquisite and feature a range of loud colours that grab your attention and will certainly help you inject a little personality into your home.
If you’re looking for something bright and exciting to add a stylish and modern edge to your home, then you should consider checking out Nanette Lepore’s work to see if there’s that special something just for you, you can get to her website by clicking here.
tuiss Loves :: Holly’s House
If you’re struggling to find an unusual gift then look no further than these beautiful and unique stamps from Holly’s Houses.
Taken from a photograph, Holly creates a beautiful rubber stamp that can then be used to personalise all sorts of things. The perfect gift for those that already have everything…. and particularly great for stationery nuts. (There’s more of them than you think!)
tuiss Loves :: Alice Palace
Alice Palace is home to the creative loveliness of Alice and her range of greeting cards, canvases, cushions and lots more. Featuring “curious illustrations and words to make you smile”, Alice Palace is a lovely find on a chilly snowy day!
Alice Palace is totally original, sometimes surprising, rather quirky, incredibly interesting and very fresh.
tuiss Love :: Herdy
I was spoilt for choice when I happened across Herdy. Which lovely picture to put on the blog?
Hailing from the Lake District, Herdy uses local suppliers and has a firm association with the Herdwick sheep that graze across the fells. (The Herdy site is littered with photos of very cute sheep…)
If you feel like a little dose of Herdyness every day then choose a Wooly Wallpaper for your desktop. Alternatively choose from kitchenware, accessories, stationery and gifts.
Elle Design Trend Forecast 2010
Elle has nailed its colours to the mast and revealed the hot trends for 2010. The design shows from Milan, New York, Tokyo and of course London were flooded with products shot through with happiness and colour. Long may it continue we say.
Here’s the trends for the forthcoming year.
- Illusion and Fantasy, think surrealist furniture and accessories, Lord of the Rings meets sofas…
- Folding and Pleating, we have a brand new product out shortly that echoes this trend. Watch this space!
- Handcrafted details, embellishments, stitching and embroidery give items a homely and personal feel.
- Honeycomb patterns are going to be big, hexagons will be everywhere.
- Turquoise, this is of course the Pantone colour of the Year, see our previous blog post with our great selection of turquoise blinds.
