tuiss customers are a refined bunch and they go ever so slightly wild for linen roman blinds! Always thinking of our lovely customers we’ve introduced three new linen roman blinds into the collection.

We now have a pure white linen roman blind as well as the original Wild Linen Beige and White Linen Voile. In addition we have two linen cotton mixes that feature a linen weave, this fabric is available in white and ivory colourways.

This linen roman blind has the distinctive quality and texture of pure linen with a relaxed weave and gorgeous slubby texture. So lovey and soft to the touch with character and style in spades.

The pure white colour will lend an ethereal look to the window and create a very natural and organic vibe in the room.

So pleased and proud to announce that tuiss has won the prestigious House Beautiful 2011 Award for best fabric! It’s so fantastic to receive an award for something we all love doing – choosing the best fabrics we can!

Some of the team attended the glitzy celebrity-laced awards ceremony and had a thoroughly wonderful time. The gorgeous award is safely in the office now and very much pride of place.

How would you feel about lowering your heating bill but without lowering the thermostat and putting on an extra jumper? Sounds too good to be true doesn’t it?! Well you’ll be pleased to know that it’s entirely possible!

Windows lose five times as much heat as the same area of wall. By simply hanging an energy saving blind at the window less heat will escape and this alone can cut energy usage by 15%. NRG blinds have a special thermal coating on the rear that keeps the heat in and the elements out.

We just love our Editions collection here at tuiss. The fantastic quality of these digitally printed blinds is just outstanding and the patterns themselves are something else.

I’m rather partial to the new Helligan Lime design featuring beautiful flowers in forget me not blue. The Morning Chorus design featuring birds is very popular, so popular that we’ve design three new colourways!

Featured here though is a paisley design, Modern Paisley Syon and  an unusual design Cuisiniere Orange that’s perfect for a kitchen.

Tick, tick, tick! Tick the style box, tick the green box and go on then … tick the texture box too!

This new collection of recycled roller blinds features the Cotton range which is made from cotton off-cuts and the Index range which is made from recycled PET (or drinks bottles if you’re not that plastic terminology savvy).

The cotton range has a lovely texture as well as a slightly open weave, it’s heavier than a voile but still allows a view through.

The index fabric has a streamlined and modern look and it’s made from one of the most modern wastes there is – plastic bottles. Each square metre is made from six plastic bottles.

To be honest the search for lovely pictures for our blog just gets easier and easier… Who knew moss and the outdoors would feature so heavily on so many websites? From Herdy mugs featured recently to these fab slippers from Ruby + Ed, they all look fantastic on the tuiss blog.

Ruby + Ed started with just slippers and now includes lounge wear and accessories, often with lots of sheepskin and furry bits too. Lots of lovely ideas Christmas gift ideas and of course lots and lots of slippers!

Our new collection of made to measure curtains is flying off the shelves! We couldn’t be happier and we think our customers will be quite pleased too – we’ve kept our beady eye out for curtains and think they look fantastic.

Here’s the Polyantha Antique Silver curtain and remember all fabrics are available as roman blinds too so perfect if you want to mix and match in a room.

If it’s definitely a floral curtain that you’re after but the Polyantha isn’t going to complement your scheme then take a look at Dahlia Autumn or Wisley Mono (to name just two).
