This is a personal recommendation from me to you.

I visited Holt in Norfolk a couple of months ago and happened across the most fabulous of places, Byfords, an eatery, deli and ‘posh’ b&b all rolled into one. In their words  “A higgledy piggledy world of pleasure.”.

We sampled the lunchtime menu downstairs in the cellar. The food was amazing and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating, so child friendly too. On the way out it’s almost impossible not to be tempted by the deli, for us it was two pasties for tea!

If tuiss was a place to sit back and relax then I think it would look very much like Byfords. If you’re ever in that area it really is worth a detour.
