by tuiss :: NRG Energy Saving roller blinds

Energy bills continue to be a ‘hot’ topic…how can we reduce them / save our pocket / save the planet etc etc

At tuiss we have a roller blind that can help to reduce your bills and make your home feel that bit warmer. The tuiss range of ‘NRG’ energy saving roller blinds tackles the heat loss from your windows. (Even the best performing windows lose five times as much heat as the same area of wall.)

An NRG blind has a special thermal coating on its rear that keeps the heat in and the elements out. All the NRG blinds offer significant environmental and cost benefits, just choose the blind that best suits your interiors scheme. The most thermally efficient blinds are from the NRG15 range, the energy saved is 15%, that’s £133* per year saved off your energy bill and in your pocket instead.

by tuiss :: Energy saving blinds for draughty windows

I’ve just spent a very nice weekend wandering around beautiful villages in the Cotswolds. Between the cream teas one thing I noticed was the poor state of many of the window frames, they must have let in quite a draught, and occasionally a gale! Many of the homes and buildings are ‘listed’ so new energy efficient UPVC windows would look out of place or simply not allowed.

It occurred to me, what these homes needed was tuiss NRG energy saving blinds! These Energy Saving blinds with their thermal coating can cut energy consumption and your bill by 15%. Clearly if your windows are particularly rickety then even more warm air will be drawn outside meaning that radiators have to work extra hard to keep it warm and toasty on the inside.

If you like curtains but are tempted by the warmth of the NRG blinds then simply hang the blind inside the window recess and keep your curtains as well. This curtain / roller blind combination gives such a smart and luxurious look to a window.

Igloos need tuiss NRG energy saving roller blinds

Here in Nottingham it’s snowing and my head is turning to making my home as warm and cosy as possible. I have my eye on the Eclipse NRG15 Cream thermal roller blind for the coldest room in our house, I just need to locate the tape measure!

Naturally my head then turned from my home and the 2cm of snow we have to igloos. A quick Google later and I was happily surfing images of ‘cool’ igloos on GrandShelters.com. Personally I think that this igloo is crying out for an energy efficient NRG blind.
