by tuiss :: Contemporary roman blinds & curtains

Last week I blogged about our fabulous new Autumn/Winter collection. I thought today we could have a walk through the Contemporary Print roman blinds and curtains collection.

These fresh collections feature stunning designs all with a contemporary air. Some patterns have a Scandinavian feel, some have a retro influence while others feature modern damasks and stylised florals. We hope you enjoy browsing the collection as much as we enjoyed putting it together.

Remember we do offer a next day free sample service so if you are spoilt for choice or just want to check the fabric at the window please do order some samples.

tuiss Loves :: Orwell & Goode

We are suckers at tuiss for quirky designs and we so easily fall head over heels if you also happen to involve a rabbit, deer or some other wild animal in the design!

Based in Scotland, Orwell and Goode with their love of the unusual, and their very clever and beautiful designs are therefore a big hit with us. Original designs featuring native Scottish animals have been screen printed onto tote bags, tea towels, lampshades and more. How can you resist the Dandy Doe art print (a deer in Victorian drag) or beautiful hand-printed silk lampshade featuring a night time highland scene of silhouetted stags?

A smiley duo of designer printmakers based in Scotland. The pair make an interesting combination which is evident in their creations. Together they make beautiful things for living, dining and giving. They like to make the usual a little unusual, make the ordinary, extraordinary! And together they make everything ‘all well and good!’.

tuiss Loves :: Thornback & Peel

Thornback & Peel take inspiration from all sorts of places but I think my favourite one has to be Mr McGregor’s garden! There’s something about this rabbit bounding through some scrumptious cabbages that makes me smile.

Inspired by an eclectic mixture of Victoriana, Mrs Beeton’s household management, Mr McGregor’s garden, 17th century microscope imagery of the natural world, Norfolk and Devon. Thornback & Peel is a celebration of the quirkiness of British humour and design.

by tuiss :: New striped roman blinds

We already have a fantastic collection of striped roman blinds but now we’ve added even more fabrics.

The Herringbone with its beautiful twill finish and the Fowey fabric are very reminiscent of deck-chair chic and are available in some beautiful colour ways. The fabulous Falmouth fabric on the other hand is a patriotic beauty in wide stripes of red, white and blue.

tuiss spot :: Dandelion Clocks Marina roller blind

This ‘tuiss spot’ was in August’s House Beautiful magazine. Tucked away in the corner is our lovely Dandelion Clocks Marina roller blind and it perfectly matches our customer’s light and bright bathroom.

Here’s our take..

We love this cool blue colour-way. The light cream backdrop features dandelion clocks in teal and shades of turquoise toning so well with smoky grey.

Blue is a popular accent colour and we can really see this roller blind in a fresh bathroom, bright kitchen or summery family room.
