tuiss Loves :: 50 things to do before you’re 11 3/4

Racing to the rescue this summer the National Trust has created 50 things to do before you’re 11 3/4. Perfect for the long summer holidays, this programme of activities is fun, mostly free and guaranteed to help fill out the six weeks holiday.

Win badges, dress your ‘bee’, record your adventures and access secret challenges as you progress through the activities. Kids will love this and we think adults will too, tuiss definitely does!

tuiss Loves :: Geocaching

What’s not to love? Fun, free and right on your doorstep. Geocaching is the perfect way to spend your summer days. Type your postcode into the search and be amazed at how many caches there are near to your location, there may even be one you could walk to straight away.

Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location.

by tuiss :: New Vertical Blinds

Our collection of vertical blinds has been beautifully refreshed with the addition of nearly 100 new fabrics and in true tuiss style they all one thing in common, they are utterly tasteful. There are lots of natural textures as well as discreet patterns while the colour palette is very usable.

The fabrics have been added across the collections so you can enjoy beautiful new choices in the essential range, colours and textures, blackout and a brand new range of sumptuous faux silk and suede blinds. We love the new fabrics so why not go and take a peek and see if you love them too?

tuiss at Royal Ascot with Emma Jane Bamford

Famed for the outfits, the hats and the pageantry, as much as for the horse racing, Royal Ascot is a fabulous and very British event.

We asked Emma Jane Bamford a talented fashion illustrator to design a dress worthy of Royal Ascot taking our patterned roller blind collection as  her inspiration. Clearly Emma is always up for a challenge and we think these dresses and matching hats would go down a storm!Posy Red Dress

tuiss spot :: Linen Cotton Purity roman blind

We were delighted to spot a complete set of our roman blinds in May’s House Beautiful magazine. This absolutely beautiful space and was described as ‘Sandi and Sumptuous’ and we think our  Linen Cotton Purity roman blinds look fantastic and so in keeping with the Scandi feel.

Minimalist off-white roman blinds allow plenty of daylight into the room and are perfect for a Scandi feel.

And here’s what we have to say:

This gorgeous fabric is a blend of linen and cotton and boasts a beautiful linen weave featuring natural crepes and slubs. We promise you, this fabric has a personality all of its own!

For a pure and simple look the Linen Cotton Purity roman blind is a spectacular solution that will lend itself to so many different interior styles.

Cows having breakfast

Up early this morning and tried to have a little chat with the cows over the hedge, but they were a bit too preoccupied with eating their breakfast.
