Long gone are the days when the choice of a venetian blind was limited to a simple silver slat. There are now so many options available to the discerning consumer. (That’s you by the way!)
We have six different venetian blind collections, let me take you by the hand and explain it all…
Venetian blinds become very popular at this time of the year. The sun comes out and people try their best to find a solution to shade their rooms. Venetian blinds are a wonderful for this; they can be fully or partially closed and of course they can be raised and lowered too. Endless options for both shade and privacy.
Choosing between a 25mm and 50mm slat is a matter of personal taste and preference. The wider 50mm slat allows more of an unhindered view to the outside and when closed there are obviously less tape holes than a 25mm so are able to offer more of a blackout.
As for tapes, again it’s personal choice, the tapes cover the tape holes making the blind more blackout and also give the blind a softer look.

If you want to create a calm and restful space then taking a tip or two from the Orient may well be the way to go. Of course if you opt for black and red plus lots of lacquered furniture it may be a little less than restful!
The tranquillity of the Orient is so easy to conjure, think chrysanthemums, gently bowing cherry blossom, lilies and maybe an orchid or two.
We have a number of blinds that are full of eastern promise and will help you create a beautiful space. Make sure to browse the tuiss website as there are other gems tucked away that you can discover…
Soft floral designs with a nod to nostalgia are big in the shops right out. I really enjoyed putting this blog together. In fact, who wouldn’t when you’re dealing with such gorgeous fabrics and other bits too.
Here’s some of beautiful tuiss roman blind and roller fabrics, all of which are right on trend and we’ve mixed in some equally lovely bits too.
I hope you like!
Did you know that you can easily save energy and be stylish at the same time? Our range of energy saving roller blinds will help you save energy by minimising the heat lost through windows. The great news is that we have some new additions including the gorgeous Kerela blinds that have the look of luxurious silk.
There is a range of both blackout and non-blackout blinds, although there’s nothing to stop you hanging a blackout somewhere other than a bathroom or bedroom. (We think the Kerela blackouts will look particularly stunning in a sitting room for example.)
Each of the blinds has a numbered rating showing the % of annual household energy that can be saved. These blinds will also reflect the heat of the sun back out, great for cooling down hot south facing rooms. These blinds will work hard the whole year through not just in the chilly months.
We have some new blackout roller blinds to tempt you! As always there’s something for every taste.
If you need a sumptuous look then we have just the thing with the Bellagio and Palazzo blinds. Each blind has a silken look and the Bellagio also features a raised flock design, perfect for creating an opulent feel.
We have some lighter feeling blinds too, the Shaolin with its Japanese feel and Embrace with its relaxed swirled design. The Lyriat range features an open leave and is very on trend. Don’t worry, they may look fresh but they will still block the light!
All of these blackout blinds feature a chrome chain and discrete tuiss branding, stylish touches that will make your blind that bit more special.
Dandelion and seed-head designs are everywhere at the moment from home interiors to fashion, and soon in your garden too! Our dandelion clock roller blind is right on trend, the clocks are cast wildly across the fabric giving a wonderful fresh feel.
This design is available in six colourways. Breeze ticks the neutral box, Lust captures the red palette while Citrine is zingy with pops of lemon, raspberry and blue. Keeping it mono is Ash, blue is Marine and the Meadow toys with mustard, blue and chocolate.
Please feel free to view our entire range of rollers with patterns and remember we offer a next day free sample service. Here’s our clocks with some other clocks too…
We have a spring in our step at the moment and can’t help but bring you new blinds! This week’s newbies are patterned roller blinds. Roller blinds are a very cost effective way of dressing the window and what’s more they look great too.
Pattern and design are an important part of creating a room’s look. Here’s an idea though, rather than committing to a wall with statement wallpaper a patterned roller blind can be a stylish alternative. It’s a quick way to add instant style to a room and if you fancy a change it’s a lot less messy than stripping wallpaper!
Click to take a look at our entire range of roller blinds or choose one of the pictures below if it takes your fancy.
We’ve selected some suitably spring like blinds and are offering up to 25% off.
Just visit the tuiss site and go on an egg hunt to find the savings. You’ll see what I mean when you get there!
Our collection of blackout roller blinds has grown a little with the addition of some great new shades. We’ve got brand new neutrals, try Poplin and Vanilla Ice, but we also have some new spring colours, buttercup and citronella and then some moodier colours such as toffee and black blackout blinds.
Blackout blinds are clearly going to be very useful in the bedroom for blocking out the morning sun, or even the afternoon sun if you’re a shift worker. These blinds are also a great option for a bathroom as they are 100% polyester so suitable for steamy environments plus they will keep it very private, no silhouettes here!
All tuiss roller blinds are finished with an aluminium chain which is a stylish finishing touch. We have a fantastic range of roller blinds so please do visit tuiss to view the entire collection. (Remember we have a next day free sample service too!)
