Trend Watch :: Fruity Tooty

With pumpkins filling every supermarket and pineapples in just about every interior design store, we have a feeling that something fruity is going on in Britain.

And if our presumptions are right, it’s definitely a trend that’s going to last well into the new year. We were recently perusing the stalls of the Decorex exhibition in London and the fruity little numbers just kept on coming.

Everywhere we look, there’s pineapples galore. Shiny ones, colourful ones, big ones, small ones. Lights, ornaments, printed patterns. The list just goes on.

And if you’re looking to bring a little zestiness into your home then check out these fab accessories.

Hit The Lights

What could be a more fun way to dress your home than with a funky Pineapple shaped light, pendant or lamp? There is no better way, and this wall light from Abigail Ahern, the Zeus glass pendant by Christiane Lemieux, table lamp from Marks and Spencer and a completely different table lamp from Oliver Bonas light the way.

Golden Grenade

There’s no denying that by bringing a Pineapple into the decor equation makes a very big statement, but with these fantastic metallic editions, it’s the start of a fruity explosion in the home. The best part is that they’re functional as well as fun; a jewellery stand from Oliver Bonas, a storage pot from John Lewis, bookends from House Junkie and a candlestick from H&M.

Alluring Decor

It’s not just the golden wonders that are fruity, fun and functional. There’s a whole host of colours and textures embracing the fruity theme such as this fun print from Not On The High Street, this bathroom set from Linea at House Of Fraser, a tealight and cloche from Rose & Grey, a photo frame from Paperchase, and a porcelain mug also from Rose & Grey.

Blinding Beautiful

Of course, there’s no better way to finish off this collection than with a fruity display with our very own blinds and curtains. It’s exactly what every zesty decor needs to give the fruity fun life and exuberance. With the Berry Tree, Summer Berry Natural and Blomma designs, you can find yourself a fruity little place in no time at all.
