We love a celebration day, whether it’s Earth Day, National Cupcake Day (who doesn’t love an excuse to eat cake?) or even Christmas. But today it’s another sort of day. It’s the 31st birthday of American rapper, T-Pain.

We’re kidding. Well, it is his birthday but as you might have guessed, it’s Social Media Day!

Launched by Mashable (“a global, multi-platform media and entertainment company”), in 2010, Social Media Day is a day to “recognize and celebrate social media’s impact on global communication. While every day is essentially Social Media Day, June 30th, 2016 marks the seventh-annual official global celebration”.

Social media has allowed us to do some great things, from networking with more people, kickstarting some of our fundraising events (remember all the fun we had raising awareness for Muscular Dystrophy, all off the back of a tweet), and of course connecting with future, past and present customers.
