In The Press :: Sanctuary Style

Another month, yet another fantastic In The Press to share with you all. And this time it’s all about creating a serene sanctuary in a small apartment.

Londoner Yvette Enright brought her Edwardian terrace home in 2012, but it was in such a state of squalor – the project managers went as far as to describe it as “tired, unloved and perfumed with the fragrance of 1000 cigarettes” – but what she really wanted was somewhere that was her own special retreat, her own private spa.

As the four-bedroom home was only for her and her son, she employed the help of design and refurbishment company Cato Creative, and they helped her design the new spaces, source materials for and manage the project. They decided to change one of the spare bedrooms into the bathroom.

To help the light flood into the home, made to measure shutters were installed into most of the rooms, and Ideal Home magazine suggested ours in the sourcebook. Our Kensington Shutters bring an elegant and traditional look to your home whilst the stylish middle bar not only provides easy operation but also gives the collection a classic contemporary feel.
