In The Press :: Ideal Homes

First of all, we’d like to thank everyone who has supported our move to Blinds 2go! We’re getting a lot of attention over there, and we’re happy to have been introduced to so many more homes.

But today, we’re taking a little look back to some beautiful homes that have had the tuiss touch. And we’ve got not one, but two in the latest issue of Ideal Home Magazine. Shall we take a look?

First we’re heading to Wimbledon, where Charlotte lives with her husband Euan. We love Charlotte’s passion for colour and her bold style certainly goes unmissed.

Now, if you’ve been over to browse the tuiss collection on Blinds 2go, you’ll know that we don’t have an ‘exclusive’ wooden blinds collection at the moment. That’s because we loved their collection so much, we’ve joined forces and created one charming collection of Blinds 2go Blinds.

Their Arctic White & Paloma faux wood blinds are the perfect choice if you want to recreate Charlotte’s look.

Next, we’re headed to Zoe and Tom’s home in Middlesex. Whilst Charlotte is a fan of dark and sumptuous colour, Zoe likes things brighter and bolder.

We admire Zoe’s courage with interiors, mixing all sorts of patterns, textures and colours in one space. The abundance of white space helps to bring all of them together in a sophisticated way though. Of course, we have to mention that gorgeous blind!

It’s one from our Scion collection- Lace Powder Blue! Unfortunately this particular pattern is no more as a roller blind, but you can find the beautifully soft roman blind version at Blinds 2go. ALternatively, check out the very vibrant collection of Scion Living roller blinds here.

In The Press: Country Retreat

tuiss is a name renowned for quality and attention to detail, so it’s really no surprise when we find our blinds gracing the glossy pages of magazines. We’re heading over to Hertfordshire, to explore the Underwood’s beautiful country retreat. Come on in…

Sally & Nick have spent many years living amongst the hustle and bustle of city London life, and whilst it was fun in their youth, the pair were keen to escape to the country. Now they’re settles into their mid-terrace cottage in Elstree, and let Hertfordshire Life take a snoop.

Whoever said that white can make a room feel cold? Sally painted most of their walls white, and the furniture too. But with the layering of textures they’ve created a serene and cosy space. Who wouldn’t want to settle down in that bedroom?

Want to read further about their journey and style? You don’t need to be in Hertfordshire to be able to. Just follow this link right here  and head to page 134 – Hertfordshire Life December 2016

How to Inject Greenery Into Your Home

In the winter, Pantone named Greenery their 2017 colour of the year. And having been in the industry for so long, we know that traditionally green shades aren’t the go to choice for the home. But there are easy ways to inject just a touch of the rejuvenating colour into your home in a fashionable and stylish way.

From a plush sofa to the smallest of nods with some jeweled handles, or even geometric floor tiles, here’s a look how to master the trend…

Greenery is a fairly vibrant shade, but don’t feel that you need to pick this exact colour to get the same fresh effect. Moss and olive shades work well for a muted scheme, with naturally inspired patterns a must. An abundance of real-life plants are even better!

Our Marrakesh Clover fabric is beautifully textured and features a mediterranean inspired pattern, which is perfect for bringing some visual interest into a scheme. The colour is great for teaming with both other muted greens, or smooth neutrals, making it a versatile choice for any room.

Marrakesh not quite for you? Check out the rest of the tuiss collection right here.

In The Press :: Looking Back

We know we’re not the only people who, when cleaning out a room, drawer or box, spends ages going through all the nostalgic pieces, cherishing the memories that they hold. Sometimes it makes us remember our achievements, whether academically or just personally. Anyway, we digress.

Recently, we were helping the tech team on a project they were working on and as a result had to create a log of all the times we’ve ever been featured, mentioned, showcased or involved in a magazine or newspaper. And we were quite shocked to discover just how many of them there were. Continue reading

In The Press :: Dream Home

We’ve seen our shutters making the pages of interior design magazines more times than we can remember, but we still get excited by each and every one. It’s great seeing the different styles that our customers have and no two schemes are ever the same.

One thing that is the same though, is how much you guys love them!

Today, we’re taking a look into Marcelle Bolt’s gorgeous period home, as featured in Your Home Magazine. Continue reading

In The Press :: Scion Loving

It feels like a lifetime ago that we last wrote a In The Press blog post, but that doesn’t mean that we haven’t been hitting the shelves every month in our favourite magazines.

We shared a few of them on our Instagram and such like, but never quite got round to sharing them on the blog.

But it’s okay, because now we have a whole collection to share with you. And there’s a whole lot of Scion Living loving going on already this year! Continue reading
